County Council Approves filling Vacancies

Grant County Council members have approved plans to fill vacancies in two county departments, including three vacancies in the Grant County Sheriff’s Department.

The County Council last night approved the request from Sheriff Reggie Nevels to fill three vacancies in his department brought about by three recent retirements.

The “Chronicle-Tribune” reports the County Health Department also received approval to replace an employee who recently retired.

And the County Council also approved the appointment of Ed Breen to fill the open spot on the County Library Board that was opened with the recent death of Jerry Holderead.
