Muncie Building Commissioner Charged In FBI Case

The Muncie Building Commissioner was arrested Wednesday and charged with nearly three dozen felony counts, stemming from an F-B-I probe into Muncie City government that began several months ago.

38-year old Building Commissioners Craig Nichols was charged with 16 counts of Fraud, 16 counts of Money Laundering and one count of Theft.  Nichols is accused of arranging demolition contracts to companies he owns, and then billing the city of Muncie more than 375-thousand dollars for work that was never completed.

Muncie Mayor Dennis Tyler plans to hold a news conference later today to talk about the investigation.
