Indianapolis has been named one of America’s most dangerous cities by 24/7 Wall Street. Indianapolis is ranked as the 12th most dangerous city on the list, which is up from the 13th spot from a year ago.
Crime data from the F-B-I shows there were more than three times as many violent crimes in the Hoosier capital than other cities nationally.
Indianapolis had more than 15-hundred burglaries per 100-thousand residents in 2016, which is 2 1/2 times the national rate. Indianapolis hit 100 homicides last week and there have been at least 3 more since then. With 3 months left in 2017, Indianapolis has already seen twice as many juvenile murders as 2016.
24/7 Wall Street said Detroit was the nation’s most dangerous city in 2016.
