Marion Teachers & MCS Reach New Contract

Marion Teachers and Marion Community Schools have reached a new collective bargaining agreement.

The Marion School Board last night approved the new two-year agreement with teachers, which will run through the 2018-2019 school year.

The “Chronicle-Tribune” reports Marion teachers will each receive at least a 950-dollar raise in the new deal.  The minimum salary for a teacher will be increased to 39-thousand dollars.
