The Carroll County Prosecutor has decided to step down while two of the highest profile investigations the county has ever seen remain unsolved.
Robert Ives says he will step down at the end of the year for a variety of personal reasons. Ives said the timing was right for him to leave. Ives was first appointed Prosecutor in 1987 and has served most recently as Prosecutor for the past seven years.
Ives will step down amid the investigation into who killed two young girls in Delphi in February and who killed four girls a year ago in an intentionally set fire in Flora.
