Marion General Hospital and CareSource have reached a deal that will allow Grant County residents to be within their network when they go to M-G-H for care. CareSource is the only local provider to be accepted at the hospital under the Affordable Care Act.
Under the agreement, M-G-H will accept CareSource’s Medicaid and marketplace members starting January first of next year.
The new agreement follows the earlier announcement that Anthem and M-D Wise would pull out of the marketplace. That left Grant County as one of only four counties in Indiana that would be without coverage under the Affordable Care Act.
The new agreement eliminates that possibility.
