A Marion teenager will spend the next 55-years in prison after he was sentenced yesterday for the killing of a Marion man two-years ago.
18-year old Shakur Johnson was convicted last month of the killing of 23-year old Mark Cotton Junior at his Nebraska Street home following a drug deal in November of 2015.
Johnson received a sentence of 55-years in prison, but five years of that term will be suspended, meaning he’ll be eligible for release in as little as 25-years.
