A group of Northern Miami County residents say they don’t want a proposed wind farm built in their area.
Renewable Energy Sources has proposed building a wind farm in Miami, Cass and Fulton counties. An R-E-S spokesman said the farm could include up to 300 wind turbines in the three-county area and that several sites in Miami County have already signed leases.
The Miami County residents say they oppose setback requirements and other issues involving the 600-foot tall wind turbines.
