A Delphi attorney has been selected as the next Prosecutor of Carroll County.
A Republican Party Caucus chose Nicholas McLeland to become the county’s Prosecutor. He’ll officially take office in January. Current Carroll County Prosecutor, Robert Ives announced last month that he would retire at the end of the year.
Ives’ decision to step down came while two of the most high-profile cases ever to hit Carroll County remain unsolved. That includes the deaths of four young girls in Flora last year in an intentionally set fire at their home, plus the murders of two young girls in Delphi earlier this year.
