State Will Take Over Full Control of Muncie Schools

The state will take full control over the cash-strapped Muncie Community School system.

Full academic and financial control was given yesterday to the state-appointed emergency manager.

To be released from state control, Muncie Schools will have to meet several requirements, including two years of balanced budgets. Muncie Schools will end 2017 with two- million dollars in the bank, but with a 12-million dollar deficit.
