State Workers Get New Parental Leave Policy

State workers will be getting a new parental leave policy in 2018.

By an executive order from Governor Eric Holcomb, the state will provide four weeks away from the job for both new mothers and new fathers who have been employed by the state for at least six consecutive months.

The governor says the policy will support families and healthy kids by ensuring that parents get the time they need to bond and adjust to a new baby or adopted child.
