The Indiana Legislature gets down to business for the 2018 session a week from today, and though it is a “short” session this year without a budget to pass, it will likely be a busy session as well.
District 31 State Representative Kevin Mahan from Hartford City says the issue that is likely to get most of the attention deals with Sunday alcohol sales and the sale of cold beer in convenience stores. Mahan says Sunday sales will likely become a reality, but not cold beer in convenience stores…at least not this year.
Mahan says another big issue will be developing Indiana’s workforce and how to fund it.
Mahan says any number of other issues will come up during the 2018 session, but he says time will limit lawmakers in the number of issues that will get handled.
