Police Officers Grow Beards For No Shave November

Forty-seven police officers in Grant County helped to raise more than 18-hundred dollars for the local First Light Child Advocacy Center by not shaving.  As part of “No Shave November,” the officers paid to keep the beards and donate the money.

45 Marion Police officers, one from Sweetser and one from Upland all paid to not shave in November, and eleven of them paid extra to keep the beards through the end of February.

All told, the effort raised 18-hundred-25 dollars for the First Light Child Advocacy Center.
