Funeral services are scheduled for today for a member of the Indiana National Guard who died last week in Texas as his Kokomo-based unit was preparing for deployment overseas.
43-year old Sergeant Mark Boner of Fort Wayne died last week while the 38th Sustainment Brigade was beginning training at Fort Hood, Texas before being shipped to the Middle East.
National Guard officials haven’t released any details about Boner’s death, other than to say it is being investigated.
