High speed racing will be coming back to the Marion Municipal Airport this August as the Indy Air Attack will return for a third year.
High-powered cars from all over the world will come to Marion August 18th and 19th for drag racing at its’ fastest and will again run on the airport’s runways.
Organizer Jay Berry says he’s excited about making the third annual event the best yet…
Registration for the event begins Wednesday, now that the Federal Aviation Administration has given its’ blessing to the event. Berry says the earlier registration will mean more and faster cars for the competition.
Marion was the site last year of a world record…a speed of 257-miles an hour on the standing half-mile course.
Berry says he expects crowds to be even bigger for this year’s Indy Air Attack event in Marion.
