Unemployment improved in Grant and all surrounding counties in December, according to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
Grant County’s jobless rate last month went down a half-percent to 3.4-percent, tying that mark with Huntington County. Only Delaware County at 3.7-percent and Blackford County at 3.5-percent were counties in this area that were higher than Grant County. Madison and Miami Counties were at 3.3-percent and Wabash County stood at 3.2-percent..
Tipton County had the area’s lowest unemployment rate in December at 2.5-percent.
