The head of the Democratic Party in Grant County is fighting an uphill battle as he tries to fill spots on the ballot for the May Primary. The problem is, Terry Stodghill has almost no names on the ballot.
Outside of a few people in a few township positions and a few on the state and federal level, there are no Democrats on the ballot in Grant County for the May Primary.
Terry Stodghill says he’s working on it, but finding few interested people.
Stodghill says the key races that he wants to find a candidate for at this point are for Center Township Trustee and the Grant County Clerk. But so far, he’s had no takers.
Stodghill says many older active Democrats say they are too old to get involved. He says younger party members also don’t want to get involved.
