Police Search For Man Responsible For 3 Local Robberies

Grant County authorities are searching for a man they believe committed three armed robberies in the past two weeks along 38th Street in Marion.

The first robbery occurred January 25th at the Village Pantry at 38th and Lincoln next to the Marion V-A.  The second one took place at the Sav-On Liquor Store at 38th & Adams Streets on January 29th in which the clerk was beaten by the suspect.  The third robbery was at the Circle-K at 38th and Washington Streets this past Friday.

In all three robberies, the bandit was described as a black male who wore a bandana over his face and was armed with a handgun.  He made off from each site with cash and either cigarettes or alcohol.

Anyone with information about the robber should contact Marion Police, the Grant County Sheriff’s Department or call Crime Stoppers at (765) 662-TIPS.
