Insurance Grace Period Announced For IN Flood Victims

Homeowners in flood-damaged areas of Indiana have been given a grace period to catch up on their insurance premiums.

The Indiana Department of Insurance has ordered insurers not to cancel homeowners’ policies for the next two months in 26 counties declared disaster areas by Governor Holcomb. They’ll still have to pay in full at the end to keep their insurance in place.

On Friday, Governor Holcomb added Jackson, Kosciusko, Newton and Porter Counties to those declared as Disaster areas due to flooding.
