The last of Governor Holcomb’s anti-opioid bills is on its way to his desk.
Legislators are clearing a path to open nine new drug treatment centers, with a goal of making sure no Hoosier is more than an hour’s drive away.
House Public Health Committee Chairperson Cindy Kirchhofer says the bill puts more addiction counselors on the job. It would let them start working on a temporary license immediately after earning their degree, then they’d have a year to pass the licensing exam to make it permanent.
