A former youth pastor at a Marion church will be sentenced next month after he was convicted Wednesday of Sexual Misconduct with a Minor.
Isaiah Morrell was accused of having a sexual relationship with a girl at the church who was 14 at the time of the alleged crime in 2013. The victim acknowledged the relationship and testified that Morrell was aware of her age.
A jury in Grant County Superior Court Two convicted Morrell of the charge. He’ll be sentenced on April 9th.
According to the “Chronicle-Tribune,” Morrell and his attorney are considering an appeal of the case.
