3 Die In Wabash County Wreck Sunday, Including Murder Suspect

Three people were killed in a head-on crash in southern Wabash County Sunday morning.  Two of the victims were young Marion men, including one who was a suspect in a Wabash County homicide.

Indiana State Police and the Wabash County Sheriff’s Department investigators on Friday ruled the death of 22-year old Jordan Richards as a homicide.  Richards was found dead inside his LaFontaine home last week.  Police say Richards had been shot to death and several guns and a large amount of cash had been stolen from his home.

Early Sunday, a car collided head-on with a garbage truck along highway 15 north of LaFontaine, killing all three persons inside the car, including the driver…19-year old Terissa Williams of Peru, 21-year old Thomas Reed and 21-year old Kaleb Marion of Marion.  Indiana State Police Sergeant Tony Slocum says one of the victims was a suspect in the murder case.

Slocum said all three persons were dead at the scene.  Why their car pulled into the path of the garbage truck remains a mystery.  Slocum says one of the guns taken from Jordan Richards home was found at the scene of the crash.

Sergeant Slocum says the investigation into the crash and the Richards murder are continuing.
