Kokomo School officials are waiting on word about a grant that would allow them to offer free breakfasts and lunches to all local students from pre-school through 8th grade.
If Kokomo wins the grant from the Community Eligibility Provision Meal Program, all pre-school through 8th grade students in Kokomo schools would get the free meals starting in August.
The grant would cover four school years.
