Petition launched against IU prof. caught on video abusing McDonald’s employee

A petition is circulating on the Indiana University campus in Bloomington calling on the school to take action after a lecturer was seen on video verbally abusing an employee at a McDonald’s with mental disabilities.

The video was posted to social media where it’s gone viral.

In the video, the woman is heard using the word “retarded” to describe the employee and when the person recording it said the use of that word is unacceptable, she identified herself as an IU professor and used the word again.
