Wind Advisory in effect until tonight, following loss of power for thousands from overnight storm

There’s a Wind Advisory in effect until 8 p.m. tonight

Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected. Isolated gusts in excess of 50 mph possible in rain showers this afternoon.

The winds will impact portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan and northwest Ohio.

Thousands are still without power across large portions of central and southern Indiana after last night’s storm.

A line of storms moved through late Wednesday evening causing significant damage in places like Franklin and Mooresville.

The side of a building was toppled over in downtown Mooresville leaving brick and debris in the middle of roadways.

In Bedford, a metal chimney at the Indian Creek Volunteer Fire Department was bent by winds that might have exceeded 75-miles-per-hour.

In Owen County, a possible tornado was reported in McCormick’s Creek State Park.
