Police say a pocket-dialed 9-1-1 call led to a meth bust in Miami County Wednesday night. The Peru Tribune reports officers received two 9-1-1calls and responded to the 500-block of West 10th Street. There they immediately smelled an odor associated with manufacturing meth, searched the home and discovered a one-pot meth lab.
Arrested were 31-year-old David Boyd, 20-year-old Zakary Steele and 25-year-old Jami Walker on charges including manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of meth, possession of precursors and possession of a hypodermic needle.
All were taken to the Miami County Jail.
Miami County ranks seventh in the state in meth labs discovered by police this year according to Indiana State Police.
