The Grant County branch of Circles USA is in the beginning stages in their mission to address poverty. Circles member Andrew Sprock says they still need to build funding in order to get started.
Circles is a nationwide organization that started in 2000 with a goal to help people set goals and build resources to become independent. Grant County’s program was created shortly after the Synergy 2012 conference which focused on fighting poverty. The Grant County campaign met in October with Circles of Delaware County to share ideas. Delaware County’s Circles program has proven successful since its inception in 2006, with around 42% of individuals sticking with the goals they’re accountable for, mainly achieving higher education.
