Adams County Hunter Dies in Tree Stand Fall

Just days after Indiana Conservation Officers issued a warning to hunters about tree stand safety, an Adams County man died Sunday after falling from his tree stand.
Conservation officers say 32-year old Timothy Bowers of Decatur fell from his tree stand while hunting in rural Adams County on Saturday.  The fall paralyzed Bowers and left him on life support.  Authorities say Bowers voluntarily removed himself from life support and he died Sunday evening from his injuries.
In light of the fatal accident, D-N-R officials are again issuing a warning to hunters about tree stand safety.
