It started out, apparently, as a simple case of trespassing, but ended in the loss of a young Anderson man‘s leg. Published reports show 19-year-old Kalob Harrison and several friends were walking across the railroad tracks near Main and Fletcher Streets in Anderson when Harrison slipped and fell between stopped rail cars. The Anderson "Herald-Bulletin" reports in its Sunday edition that Harrison became trapped and was unable to move when the train began moving. He was rushed to hospital, where his leg was removed during surgery.
All five of the young people involved were cited for trespassing, a misdemeanor.
