At Least 3 Students Injured in Marion School Bus Crash

by Sammy Edmonds posted Dec 3 2013 3:09PM
At least three teens were injured after a truck crashed into a bus full of students en route to the Tucker Career Center in Marion this afternoon.

The bus carrying 22 students was headed eastbound on State Road 18 when a pick-up truck disregarded a stop light  at Adams Street and crashed into the bus.  Three students were transported by ambulance to Marion General Hospital and the rest including the driver voluntarily went to the hospital to be checked out.  No one is reported to have suffered life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck, 63-year-old Joseph Rademaker Junior will be cited for disregarding a stop light once he’s treated and released.
