Colder than Normal Temps, Tips to Manage Heating Bill

by Sammy Edmonds posted Jan 22 2014 3:30PM

We’re now two and a half months into the winter heating season and colder than normal temperatures are potentially causing a rise in heating bills.  Weather experts say January has been 13% colder than normal and 32% colder than this time last year...and more cold temps are expected this week.

Vectren Energy officials say there are ways to manage your heating bill to avoid a spike in payment, such as applying for rebates online, you can sign up for the “budget bill” designed to spread out your payments evenly, or for those who may be struggling financially this year, see if you qualify for the Energy Assistance Program.  These and more options can be found on www.vectren.com.
