Cunningham Says 2014 will be Active for IACCAC

by Sammy Edmonds posted Dec 5 2013 10:23AM
Grant County Community Corrections Executive Director Chris Cunningham says 2014 will be an active year once legislation rolls out enacting major code revisions.   Effective July, House Bill 1006 will devise the four classes of felonies into six classes which could impact county correctional services.
Cunningham will be a voice for Grant County serving next year as President-Elect of the Indiana Association of Community Corrections Act Counties.  He says his main concern is making sure Grant and other impacted counties receive funding amidst the revisions.
82 of the state’s 92 counties receive funding through Indiana Code 11-12-1 under which the changes will be implemented.
