Delaware County Shell Building To Go Up Soon South of Muncie

by Sammy Edmonds posted Feb 26 2014 10:27AM
Delaware County economic development officials are staying mum on plans to build a huge shell building just south of Muncie in hopes of luring a large tenant.

The “Star Press” reports approval has been given for construction of a 200-thousand square foot building just off Cowan Road that could easily be expanded to as much as a half-million square feet if needed.

Delaware County economic development officials aren’t saying anything more about the potential use for the building, but published reports say officials are trying to lure a large automotive parts manufacturer to that site.

Nevertheless, construction on the eight-million dollar shell building could begin this spring.  They say it’s the largest such structure in Delaware County history.
