Expert: Small and Online Retailers to Lose Out this Year

An Indiana retail analyst says online and smaller retailers will likely lose out to Thanksgiving Day sales this year. Even more brick and mortar retailers are opening their doors on Thanksgiving this year and it‘s their effort to maximize holiday shopping sales.
However, Purdue University‘s Richard Feinberg says that doesn‘t mean consumers will be spending more this year. He says it‘ll simply drive sales up one or two percent sooner, but not overall.
