Marion Firefighters are anxiously awaiting a report from insurance adjusters regarding the status of Fire Station One that was damaged in the severe storms on November 17th.
Chief Paul David said they should hear something regarding the damage to the building sometime this week.
That report could weigh heavily on the future of the fire station. High winds blew down a radio tower on top of the building, destroying the tower and damaging the roof. Depending on the damage report, it could determine whether the city will repair it or have to build another fire station.
In the meantime, firefighters and equipment have been dispersed to other fire stations in Marion.
