GM Announces $11-Million Energy Initiative

Fort Wayne‘s GM truck plant will be part of a new multi-million dollar initiative by the automaker. GM announced today (Wed) it will invest $11-million into technology that powers the facility by landfill gas.
The total plan includes the Roanoke factory and another in Lake Orion, Michigan. GM will install equipment that will create electricity from the renewable gas. Through the initiative, GM will save about $5 million dollars per year.
