Flooding in Grant County has not subsided, despite early predictions that rivers would be falling by now.
The latest information on the Mississinewa River at Marion is that the river is still slowly rising and is at about 14-feet...nearly two feet above flood stage.
Grant County Emergency Management Agency Director Bruce Bender says there are several roads with high water across them in Grant County, but the worst area is Stone Road near Marion, which is closed at both entrances to Stonecrest Housing.
High water has also closed off the Gas City Park and forced Gas City officials to close their Christmas Lights display there for the rest of the year. Several of the displays are partially under water and some of the controls have been damaged.
Meanwhile, Matter Park Road is also closed due to high water and the Marion Walkway of Lights will be closed again this evening for the second straight night.
Emergency Management officials say no homes in Grant County have been evacuated at this point.
