Grant County Severe Weather Test on Thursday

by Sammy Edmonds posted Mar 24 2014 3:48PM
Testing of emergency warning sirens in Indiana will take place on Thursday, except for a few sites like the city of Marion.
Grant County Emergency Management Agency Director Bruce Bender says the sirens will be set off locally, but will be delayed a few hours in Marion because of ISTEP Testing going on in Marion Community Schools.  The sirens in Marion will be tested Thursday evening.
While schools will be actively testing their warning alarms on Thursday, Bender urges everyone to check their emergency preparedness no matter where you are.  He says it’s vital to be prepared for severe weather...no matter the time, no matter the place.
