House Looks to Expand Tax Abatement Plans

by Sammy Edmonds posted Mar 11 2014 3:14PM
The Indiana House and Senate are approaching an agreement on another round of business tax cuts for the state.
House and Senate committees have endorsed a "super tax abatement," that would allow counties to forgive taxes for up to 25 years instead of the current 10.
House Ways and Means Chairman Tim Brown says that would give counties an alternative to the House‘s proposed local option to eliminate the property tax on new business equipment.
