A Huntington woman faces charges in connection with three bomb threats made to the Marion Ivy Tech in January. 48-year-old Corina Smith was initially arrested by Huntington Police two weeks ago. She was later transferred to the Grant County Jail where she remains held facing three felony counts of false informing. Marion Police say Smith is not talking to authorities and has hired an attorney.
Smith is under probation following an arson conviction for which she served five years in prison. She had set fire to a business in Huntington where she was employed at the time causing over $300,000 in damage.
Investigators believe Smith made the bomb threats on her cell phone on school grounds in Marion prior to her class. Authorities were able to gain access to her phone records and have pinpointed her as the only suspect.
