Huntington Woman Pleads Guilty to Reckless Homicide

by Sammy Edmonds posted Mar 11 2014 3:23PM
A Huntington woman has pleaded guilty to charges of Reckless Homicide for allegedly helping a friend overdose on morphine.

According to the Huntington “Herald Press,” 41-year old Christy Oden agreed to plead guilty to the charge of Reckless Homicide, while numerous drug-related charges were dropped.

Veach admitted that she helped Annette Veach grind up morphine tablets in November of 2012 and then both allegedly snorted the drug.  Veach later died from what the Huntington County Coroner ruled was a drug overdose.

Under terms of her plea agreement, Oden will receive a six-year prison term when she’s sentenced on April 15th.
