With subzero temperatures expected today, Indiana Michigan Power is asking consumers to be as conservative as possible with their electricity usage.
The power company says they are confident in the ability to provide power to customers during the cold snap, but since the demand for electricity will be so high they’re still requesting consumers be conscious of their power consumption. I & M is asking customers to conserve power especially, between 6 am to 10 am and 5 to 9 pm.
Some tips to save power include lowering thermostats, turning off lights and appliances not in use, and postponing use of major electrical appliances such as dishwashers and dryers.
