INDOT Awards Funding for Road Projects

The Indiana Department of Transportation has awarded $86 million statewide to fund certain road projects. Grant County was among those awarded, receiving over $1 million to repair a bridge on County Road 500 North over the Mississinewa River. The City of Marion was awarded nearly $450,000 to fund an emergency vehicle signal preemption project. The town of Converse was awarded $180,000 for ADA sidewalk improvements on Jefferson Street, and Van Buren received $80,000 for ADA sidewalk improvements on Main and Vine Streets.
Others receiving funding for various projects include the City of Wabash, Miami County, and Blackford County including the city of Montpelier.
