It’s ISTEP+ time again for schools in Indiana.
Students across the state began the yearly assessments this week, despite lost instructional time due to weather-related cancellations and delays.
The State Board of Education tried to assist by delaying the deadline for finishing testing by one week. The Board will meet again this week to decide whether to push back completion dates for the second portion of the test currently scheduled for late April.
Last year students faced complications when a network error by testing company CTB McGraw-Hill kicked students off the test. To help prevent it from occurring again, schools themselves have been preparing by taking statewide ‘stress’ tests and some are upgrading technology.
