Indiana Wesleyan University has received approval from an accreditation organization for the school to begin an affiliation with a campus in Australia.
The Higher Learning Commission approved Indiana Wesleyan’s collaboration with the Wesley Institute in Sydney, Australia to forge a permanent relationship. That will allow the Wesley Institute to become the first global Christian University in the land down under.
The affiliation between I-W-U and the Wesley Institute was first announced last October. Approval from the Higher Learning Commission came earlier than I-W-U officials had expected.
Once plans are finalized for the campus for I-W-U and the Wesley Institute, the new Australian campus will get a new name. It will eventually have several branches all over Australia, New Zealand and other sites in the South Pacific.
