IWU Receives Gift for Devoe School of Business

by Sammy Edmonds posted Oct 21 2013 3:34PM
The family of a longtime Marion business executive has donated a sizeable gift to create a new school within Indiana Wesleyan University.

IWU Director of Media Relations Alan Miller says the family of Jim Devoe wanted the gift to develop a specific program.

Jim Devoe was a Marion native who built a successful auto sales business in Marion that eventually expanded across the Midwest.

Miller says a committee has been meeting at IWU for several months to come up with plans for the creation of the Devoe School of Business.  The Devoe family gift will be the starting point for that school’s development.
