Indiana Wesleyan University Trustees have approved the university’s first overseas campus, which will open soon in Sidney, Australia.
IWU has several branch campuses around the Midwest and has offered selected programs overseas, but this will be the school’s first full campus in another country.
IWU Director of Media Relations Alan Miller says school officials have been looking for some time to better serve that part of the world.
The Australian campus will be located on what is currently a bible school in Sidney and will be able to offer complete undergraduate degrees to students there within a few years.
New IWU President Dr. David Wright says the university may look to offer courses and degrees next in the Caribbean and parts of South America.
