An Illinois man was arrested Monday afternoon shortly after crashing three times while trying to avoid Marion Police.
Police were attempting to serve a warrant on a man that got into a car at 4th and Boots Streets. When officers tried to pull the car over, the driver fled and a chase ensued. During the chase, the vehicle struck a car, then hit a fire hydrant and then a stop sign at 5th and Western Avenue. After the impact, the man fled on foot but was cornered in the Family Video parking lot and placed under arrest.
No one was injured in the crash.
