Indiana Health officials are now reporting 11 flu-related deaths in the state this season.
St. Joseph County has been hit particularly hard, experiencing six deaths.
In a change from last year’s flu season, officials say that all but one of the deaths occurred in individuals between the ages of 25 to 64.
Health officials say it’s not too late to get a flue shot and that the vaccine is in strong supply. Flu vaccine can typically be found at local health departments, pharmacies and health care providers.
