Indianapolis International Airport officials say part of the canopy over the airport’s parking garage collapsed under the weight of snow and ice today. No injuries have been reported, but workers are checking for damage to rental cars.
This isn’t the first time the canopy has been damaged by snow and ice. In February of 2011, several cars were damaged after the canopy collapsed under the weight of snow and ice. A significant amount of ice fell on escalators and moving walkways on that occasion, but did not injury anyone.
